Mother Teresa Catholic Academy looks forward to serving your family in helping to prepare your child for a life filled with faith, hope, and love. Many believe that a quality Catholic Education like that offered at Mother Teresa Catholic Academy will not fit their budget. Although it is true that a Catholic Education and a safe learning environment are priceless, we offer many significant scholarships that may make MTCA accessible to you.
Mother Teresa Catholic Academy Transfer Grant
A child transferring from a non-Catholic school to Mother Teresa will be granted an automatic tuition credit of $1,000 in the first year and $500 in their second year at MTCA.
How to Apply
To apply for a scholarship, you will need to create a FACTS account. To do this please go to Online.factsmgt.com/signin.aspx or scan the QR code.
Applying for any of these scholarships, depending on financial need, may meet the entire cost of your child’s tuition. Please note that some fees are not paid by scholarships, e.g., registration fees, athletic fees, graduation fees etc. All families are required to meet a fundraising and volunteer requirement for MTCA.
Catholic Education Foundation (CEF)
Application Deadline: April 1, 2026
The Diocese of Joliet offers significant scholarships for those who are enrolled in a Catholic School in the Diocese based on financial need and other factors. Mother Teresa Catholic Academy is a member school. Not only are our students eligible for these scholarships but the CEF has made significant scholarships above the normal limits specifically for MTCA students. Scholarships include numerous offerings in the following categories:
General Scholarships up to $2,000 per child;
CEF Invest in Kids Grant up to $1,000 per child;
- CEF Restricted Parent Scholarship up to $2,000 per child;
Halasz Memorial Scholarship up to $1,000 per child;
Archbishop Sartain Scholarship up to $1,000 per child;
CEF Hispanic Initiative Scholarship for MTCA up to $1,500 per child;
The same student can receive multiple scholarships in the same academic year.
CEF and MTCA can offer scholarships based on financial needs and family hardship as well as grants for our Hispanic families. Please note that once you apply for a grant through the CEF, Mother Teresa will be able to access your application and may be able to offer you additional funding.
Saint Liborius Parishioner Scholarship
Any family that is a registered and active parishioner at Saint Liborius parish in Steger or Saint Boniface church in Monee may apply for a $1000/year scholarship for each child attending MTCA by emailing Fr. Thomas Milota by June 1, 2026.
Please note that registration is not sufficient to receive this scholarship. Recipients must attend Sunday Mass weekly and participate in a ministry of Saint Liborius parish or Saint Boniface church.
